WELLBEING IS NOT A LUXURY,
IT'S ESSENTIAL
Corporate Wellbeing
Corporate Wellbeing Is No Longer a Luxury — It’s Essential
Today’s workplace is more demanding, fast-paced and emotionally draining than ever before. Across the UK, businesses are seeing the direct impact that stress, burnout, fatigue and poor mental wellbeing have on their teams. What was once considered a “nice extra” has now become a business necessity.
Forward-thinking organisations are increasingly investing in employee wellbeing initiatives because healthier, happier teams perform better, take fewer sick days, communicate more effectively and remain with companies for longer. Staff wellbeing is no longer just about morale — it directly affects productivity, retention, workplace culture and long-term business success.
In the UK alone, an estimated 148.8 million working days were lost due to sickness or injury in 2025, averaging 4.4 days lost per employee. Mental health conditions, stress and burnout continue to be among the leading causes of absence in the workplace. (Office for National Statistics)
Research from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) found that UK employees were absent for an average of 9.4 sick days per year, significantly higher than pre-pandemic levels. Employers are increasingly recognising that proactive wellbeing support helps reduce absence, improve engagement and create healthier workplace cultures. (CIPD)
Burnout has also become a growing concern for UK businesses. A 2025 UK survey found that 91% of adults experienced high levels of pressure or stress at some point during the year, while over a third reported feeling consistently overwhelmed or burned out. (Mental Health UK)
As a result, companies are shifting their focus towards preventative wellbeing support rather than waiting until staff are exhausted, disengaged or off work sick. Businesses are increasingly introducing wellbeing workshops, stress management programmes, mindfulness sessions and holistic therapies to support employees both mentally and emotionally.
Our corporate wellbeing services are designed to help employees pause, reset and recharge. Through 1-to-1 Reiki sessions, group Reiki experiences and wellbeing workshops, we provide calming, restorative support that can help reduce stress, improve emotional balance, encourage relaxation and support overall wellbeing in the workplace.
When employees feel supported, valued and cared for, businesses benefit from:
-
Reduced stress and workplace burnout
-
Lower sickness absence and fatigue
-
Improved morale and team connection
-
Increased focus, motivation and productivity
-
Better staff retention and workplace culture
-
Greater emotional resilience and work-life balance
Investing in employee wellbeing is not simply about reducing stress — it’s about creating healthier, more sustainable workplaces where both people and businesses can thrive.

What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive holistic therapy that works with the body’s natural energy systems to promote relaxation, balance and overall wellbeing. Originating from Japan, Reiki is often described as a calming energy-based practice that helps the mind and body move into a deeply relaxed state.

During a Reiki session, practitioners channel healing energy through light touch or hands held just above the body, helping to encourage the body’s natural ability to rest, reset and rebalance.

Many people describe Reiki as:
-
Deeply calming
-
Emotionally grounding
-
Restorative and recharging
-
Similar to a meditative state
-
Helpful for stress reduction and mental clarity
Why Reiki Works So Well Within Corporate Wellbeing
Modern workplaces are fast-paced, demanding and often mentally exhausting. Many employees spend long periods under pressure, carrying stress, tension and mental fatigue without taking time to properly reset.

Reiki provides employees with the opportunity to slow down, disconnect from stress and experience genuine rest and relaxation — something many people
struggle to achieve during the working week.
By helping staff feel calmer, more balanced and mentally clearer, Reiki can support:
-
Reduced workplace stress and anxiety
-
Lower levels of burnout and emotional exhaustion
-
Improved focus and concentration
-
Better emotional wellbeing
-
Increased relaxation and mental clarity
-
Reduced tension and fatigue
-
Improved morale and workplace atmosphere
-
A greater sense of calm and balance

Improved employee wellbeing and morale
-

-
Better team dynamics and communication
-
A more positive workplace culture
-
Supporting staff retention and satisfaction

Businesses are increasingly recognising that investing in employee wellbeing is not simply about reducing sickness absence — it is about creating healthier, happier and more resilient teams.
